Jon D. Herbst Mr. Herbst was a Principal at Key Principal Partners from its initial year in 1998 to 2007.   While there, he sourced, structured, and managed  subordinated debt and equity investments across a wide range of industries including construction, packaging, EMS, steel, and aerospace/defense.  Mr. Herbst had previous private equity experience with Canterbury Capital and the Barclays Bank mezzanine group, BZW Mezzanine.  While at Barclays, Mr. Herbst was also involved in senior loan restructurings and in analyzing debtor-in-possession transactions.  Mr. Herbst has over twenty years of private equity experience. Mr. Herbst received his M.A. in Economics from New York University and his B.A. in Economics from Emory University.

Samir D. Desai Mr. Desai currently acts in an advisory role at Superior Street Partners.   Mr. Desai was Vice President in charge of marketing and deal sourcing at Key Principal Partners (Cleveland) from 2001 to 2007.   Previously he was with North American Funds, a Chicago based private equity fund, where he was involved in sourcing and structuring new transactions, maintaining relationships with lenders and working with the existing portfolio companies.  Mr. Desai has more than twenty years of business experience.  Mr. Desai received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago.
